Fatty Acids and Reduction of a Fat Tissue

Losing weight is a very broad subject. Nowadays, more and more content is created for people who want to take care of their figure and health. Sometimes you can get lost in this information, which is why some people independently create theories about how fat is burnt, which sometimes is not true and thus health threatening.

One such "myth" that you hear very often recently is the information that you should limit fatty acids while losing weight. But this is a misjudgment.

When reducing body fat, you should not omit any of the nutrients, especially fatty acids! Let's see why.

What are fatty acids?

These are natural ingredients found in food products or in supplementation, thanks to which the body is supplied with the correct amount of energy material needed for life processes.

Breakdown of fatty acids

The most famous division of fatty acids is this into saturated and unsaturated fats:

  • The former is white in colour and characterized by its insolubility in water.
  • The latter, on the other hand, are most often in the form of a colourless liquid. This type is an essential element in the human diet.

Saturated acids include butyric acid, margaric acid, arachidic acid and many others, the names of which cannot be associated with any food product.

Unsaturated fatty acids include oleic acid, castor acid, linolenic acid - i.e. omega 3, or arachidonic acid - i.e. omega 6.

In addition, we can also talk about so-called natural fatty acids, i.e. simple compounds made of an even number of carbon atoms and higher fatty acids made of ten or more carbon atoms.

A large role of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids

Of the above-mentioned fatty acids, the most popular are those derived from natural food.

Omega 6 fatty acids are necessary for the proper functioning of the body, as are omega 3 fatty acids, but in the first case, they are of plant origin. They can be found in sunflower seeds, nuts, sesame, olive oil, castor oil, etc.

In the case of omega-3 fatty acids, it can be said that they are fish-derived fats, as their sources can be found primarily in fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel or sardines, but also in other seafood, eggs and meat.

The role of fatty acids in the body

These are natural fat components that primarily help with:

  • slowing down the ageing process of cells
  • reduce the risk of heart attacks
  • increase immunity
  • avoiding cardiovascular disease and heart attack
  • the hormonal balance is normalized

In addition, fatty acids, as few people know, allow you to reduce body fat. It is known that when supplementing these acids, you should take care of adequate physical activity and a balanced diet, while especially omega-3 fatty acids allow you to increase metabolism, provide the body with hormones responsible for fat burning, add energy during exercise and cause the so-called. resting burning, thanks to which all people working on their figure will be able to well supplement their diet with valuable ingredients.

Why is it worth it?

Few people are willing to add additional sources of fat to their weight loss diet, because fat is always associated with something that increases body weight. On the other hand, natural fats help to break down fat molecules in the body, thanks to which the body will be able to burn them better and in a more natural way.

So if someone wants to carry out energy and metabolic transformations properly and relatively quickly, and to improve the figure, the introduction of healthy fats, especially omega 3 fatty acids, will be an excellent solution.

As you can see, fatty acids are one of the most important nutrients in the body. Therefore, there will be no problem in refuting the myth given at the beginning. Limiting such valuable ingredients as omega 3 or 6 fatty acids for the sake of slimming should not take place at all if you do not want to get health problems or injuries in exercise. Regardless of the approach to exercise or diet, it is worth remembering.
